Why Fuse Crew Exists
We kept seeing the same problem in home services: a homeowner calls because something isn't working, and before long the conversation has moved from fixing the problem to replacing equipment that may not need to be replaced.
Electrical work isn't cheap. It shouldn't be. You're paying for skilled work on one of the most important systems in your home. But there's a difference between paying a fair price for necessary work and being sold a much larger job because that's the more profitable option.
Fuse Crew was built around a pretty simple idea: figure out what's actually wrong, explain it clearly, and fix what needs fixing.
We've seen firsthand why that matters.
One Atlanta-area homeowner contacted us after another electrical company recommended replacing the home's electrical panel at a cost of roughly $11,000. We inspected the system ourselves. The panel didn't need to be replaced. The problem was with breakers that could be replaced individually.
The necessary work came in at less than $1,000.
That doesn't mean every panel can be repaired. We've also worked on panels with melted components, damaged bus bars and serious heat damage where replacement was absolutely necessary.
The point is that the recommendation should fit the problem.
Fix What Actually Needs Fixing
Sometimes the right answer is a $200 repair. Sometimes it's a new electrical panel. Sometimes what looks like a bad outlet turns out to be a problem somewhere else on the circuit.
You don't know until you diagnose it.
That's how we approach electrical work. We look at the existing equipment, listen to what's been happening, troubleshoot the problem and then talk through what we found.
If there's a reasonable repair, we'll tell you. If equipment needs to be replaced, we'll explain why. If you're planning something new, such as an EV charger, generator, renovation or major lighting project, we'll look at what the existing electrical system can support before determining the scope.
We're not interested in making a job bigger simply because we can.
How We Approach the Work
There isn't one process that fits every electrical job.
A troubleshooting call starts differently from an EV charger installation. Replacing a damaged panel isn't the same job as adding recessed lights to a finished ceiling with no attic access.
What stays consistent is the thinking behind the work.
We start with what you're trying to solve or accomplish. We look at the existing electrical system. If something isn't working, we try to determine why before recommending what comes next.
For larger projects, that can mean evaluating panel capacity, wiring routes, access, equipment requirements and permitting before the scope is finalized. Sometimes what we find changes the original plan. We'd rather have that conversation before the work begins than surprise you halfway through the job.
Once the scope is clear, we price the work we're actually planning to perform.
