This Alpharetta home was built in the early 2000s. And like a lot of homes from that era, the kitchen was working with just a couple of basic ceiling fixtures. It got the job done back then but by today's standards, it left the space feeling dim and flat.

We came in and installed recessed lighting throughout the kitchen, positioning each can to push light evenly across the countertops, the island, and the main walkways. No dark corners. No harsh shadows over the work surfaces. Just clean, consistent light where you actually need it. The pendant lights over the island stayed, and now they complement the recessed layout instead of carrying all the weight themselves.

What makes recessed lighting such a popular upgrade especially in kitchens is the return you get for the investment. You're not tearing out cabinets or replacing appliances. You're just fixing the one thing that was making the whole space feel smaller and older than it actually is. Good lighting changes how a room reads. Period.

We protected the surfaces, ran the wiring cleanly, and kept the job site tight throughout. Both fixtures and pendants were tied in together so everything works off the same system. That's the kind of detail work that matters long after we're gone.

A lot of homeowners in the Atlanta area sit on this upgrade because they assume it means a major renovation. It doesn't. Recessed lighting installation is one of the cleaner electrical jobs we do and the results speak for themselves the moment you flip the switch.
